“Each time I learn something new, my heart fills with incredible joy! Tears even sometimes fill my eyes.
Learning becomes an adventure then, where I happily choose each fascinating subject. It is with wonder that I proceed. Would you like to come along with me?” Debra Wheeler

A friend brought me flowers and ice cream when I was feeling isolated and down. My heart was grateful to bursting. Tears formed in my eyes. This was a miracle of love and I was so grateful.
My experience might seem like something small, but to me, the recipient, it was a miracle. Someone cared about me and I felt drawn to do the same for others. What about a smile? a word of kindness? a note of encouragement? All simple things, but could be a miracle for the recipient. ♥️ Be a miracle for someone else today! Have you ever taken the time to listen to your heart?
There is innate wisdom there. One day, while meditating with my hands on my heart, I began a mantra of, “See the good in others.” I repeated it And suddenly there was a voice that said, “And you.” I was surprised. Tears came to my eyes. I repeated the new mantra—“See the good in others and myself.” I smiled at the guiding wisdom.♥️ Inside of each one of us is a beautiful, beautiful heart. As we share our heart and let its rays shine on all around us, our heart enlarges and becomes even more beautiful. It is in the sharing that both are blessed. ♥️
Letting your heart ♥️ lead and inform you about what and how you do something each day can make such a difference.
A simple act, such as placing your hands over your heart and asking how it is today, can be a nourishing action. Your body responds to these gestures of love with an easing of tension and slowing down of the breath and heartbeat. How do you lead from the heart? 💕 Yoga Therapy can help. 😘 How do you think your perspective about life would change if love 💗 were the only motive?
Mine has changed dramatically. I look at people in a more thoughtful, kind way. I go through my everyday tasks with a mindful, willing heart. I respond to myself more gently and with a love that brings joy. Perhaps today, you might allow your perspective to change a little and live your life from a motive of love. 💗 Life’s challenges have a way of closing off one’s heart. I know they have for me. When challenges have come along, I’ve found myself wrapping up in cotton wool, tightly like a blanket, closing myself off from the world.
I was safe there and couldn’t feel the hurt, the confusion, the overwhelm. Then one day, I pulled apart the fibers of the cotton wool that surrounded me, and peeked out. The world didn’t seem so scary. I opened my heart a bit and waited to see what would happen. There was silence, a quiet stillness, then wisdom crept in. I began to realize that as well as the cotton wool keeping out hurtful things, it also kept out kind and loving things. To feel them, I would need to unwrap. Helen Keller, who could neither see nor hear, says it best that all beautiful things must be felt with the heart.
As we focus inward, we begin to see with our heart. We begin to listen with our heart. Insight opens up. Emotions bubble freely. We feel more alive and more into our real self. Take some time today to feel beautiful things with your heart. ❤️ I am a yoga therapist! I love what I do! 💖
There is something so beautiful about watching a client explore and then discover ways to heal issues that are troubling them. I hold a space for that to happen using principles of yoga to help, such as meditation, breathing techniques and movement. Clients do not even need to know how to do yoga postures. 🧘🏼♀️ I am there to support them. When clients come to me in person or online, we assess their issue and its impact in their life. A way forward is decided and then implemented. Clients are encouraged to take a lead in that healing process. As a yoga therapist, I am a guide. Clients are empowered to take control of their lives in a sensitive way, that is unique to them and their circumstances. Insight is sought for and applied. Growth is felt and seen. The process can be compared to the bud of a flower whose petals are tightly woven, then gradually open up into to a beautiful, vibrant flower, loose and alive. 🌸 I love being a yoga therapist! 💖💖💖 |
