A yoga therapist will invite the client to have a series of sessions that may be weekly or monthly according to their needs.
This group has just practiced meditating at the end of a class. Yoga therapy can be done in groups. If you look closely, you just might see me.

Image by yogaunited.com Integrated means combining elements to make a new part or whole. In a yoga therapy session, as new insights come up, a client is encouraged to bring them into their everyday life. It is a means of, “How can I apply what I have learned?”
The client and therapist work together during the session towards an outcome. They dialogue as the session continues. The client is encouraged to find what is working for them, their own wisdom.
In a classroom demonstration, I was put in a particular yoga posture and asked what I was feeling. A discussion ensued and thoughts of me feeling I was doing too much in my life came up. There were even tears. After more discussion, I made a decision to re-evaluate and prioritize how much I was doing. That gave me a great sense of calm.
