Within the throes of depression, it is easy to get lost, at least lost from whom we were. We may wonder; Where is the cheerful, vibrant person? Where is the assertive, confident person? Where is the person who takes joy in simple things, like a clean house, shopping, cooking, playing with children? Where is the person who loves to read, play the piano, talk with friends, go to a movie? Where, where, where?
Struggling, the pleading goes on, please lead me home, home to MYSELF. Let me wake up to see ME, radiating sweet confidence. Let me be the person I remember… please… Lead me home…
