Yoga Therapy helps with depression. There are poses/postures/forms that calm the mind, open the heart and strengthen the body. There are breathing practices that increase focus, helping to reduce mental fog, bringing more oxygen into the physical body, and creating better health. Meditations help with clearing the mind, bringing clarity and vision for a hopeful future.
All these tools, when used by a skilled yoga therapist, help someone who is depressed to find the courage and insight to step out of the darkness of depression into the light.
